吉尔松（1884～1978）Gilson,tienne Henry 法国哲学家，历史学家。新托马斯主义的主要代表之一。1884年6月13日生于巴黎一个天主教徒家庭，1978年9月20日卒于格拉旺。1913年获博士学位。曾任巴黎大学、多伦多大学和法兰西公学教授。1947年当选为法兰西科学院院士。吉尔松毕生致力于中世纪经院哲学史的教学和研究。他认为托马斯主义为现代哲学开辟了道路，主张“回到中世纪去”，强调真正的哲学必须以信仰为出发点。在他看来，对理性来说，信仰是不可缺少的，哲学的生命力就在于信仰和神学，其目的在于使哲学回归于神学。著有《中世纪哲学》、《基督教哲学概论》等。
